Optimist races organised as side show to regatta

optimistsOYSTER POND—Six young Optimist sailors raced their dinghies in the Oyster Pond Lagoon on Saturday afternoon as part of the 8th Captain Oliver's Regatta. The spectator-friendly event was coordinated by Youth Sailing Instructors Martin Fitch and Maaike van Mameren of St. Maarten Yacht Club. Six races were held and scored starting from the Sunsail Dock.
